What Is LATISSE?

LATISSE is a prescription eyelash growth system that helps to grow thicker, longer and darker lashes. It works to gradually enhance the eyelashes. The topical solution is applied once a night, every night to the base of the upper eyelashes for the duration of your treatment. Over the course of the next several weeks, patients begin to notice thicker eyelash growth, with full results in about 16 weeks.

Who Is a Candidate for LATISSE?

Candidates for LATISSE have realistic expectations of what the treatment can do. Boston women who want this eyelash growth system will need a prescription. Candidates for LATISSE typically experience the following:

  • Short eyelashes
  • Sparse or thin eyelashes
  • Lack of eyelash volume

When you visit Dr. Tantillo for LATISSE, it's a great time to ask about other non-surgical treatments including injectable fillers or BOTOX® Cosmetic.

Recovery & Results

With LATISSE, there is no recovery time. The solution is applied once a night until your eyelashes have reached a desirable length and fullness. The treatment is gradual; it may take about 4 weeks to begin seeing results with full results usually seen around 16 weeks. If you wish to stop using LATISSE, your eyelashes will gradually return to their normal state.
