This patient is a thirty-one year old mother of two children who came to my Brookline, MA office from Boston to discuss abdominoplasty. She is not overweight; however, her abdominal wall muscles were stretched apart during her pregnancies. Notice in her pre-operative photographs the bulging of her abdomen, especially on the side views.
As we discussed her Boston cosmetic surgery I recommended to her a full abdominoplasty so that I could tighten her sit-up muscles in which was necessary to give her a flat tummy. She was very concerned about scarring because she had widened scars from procedures done in the past.
Following her Boston tummy tuck she stayed in the hospital one night and went home the day after surgery. She was able to resume light activities within a few days of her surgery and was able to resume full activities within a few weeks of her surgery. During her post-operative course we paid close attention to how her incisions were healing. As seen in the post-operative photographs, her incisions are fading nicely after her Boston plastic surgery. She is very pleased with her experience and loves her flat tummy.
