This forty-five year old woman from north of Boston, MA came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss body contouring surgery following weight loss. She had undergone gastric bypass surgery two years prior and had lost one hundred pounds. Prior to her gastric bypass surgery she had breast reduction surgery. However, after her one hundred pound weight loss she had lost volume from her breasts that she wanted to correct.
During our plastic surgery Boston consultations we reviewed each of her concerns, discussed expectations from her surgery, especially given the fact that she was still a bit overweight. We decided to proceed with a 400cc saline breast augmentation and an extended abdominoplasty which included a lateral thigh lift. As is generally the case, these two surgeries were able to be safely performed at the same operation. She stayed in the hospital one night after the surgery and returned home the following day able to do light activities. She gradually returned to her normal activities within a few weeks after her cosmetic surgery Boston.
Her pre-operative and post-operative photographs demonstrate the dramatic results possible with body contouring surgery following weight loss.
