Details for Case #52

This fifty-eight year old woman from Maine came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss improvement of her abdominal contour. She had previous abdominal surgery which left her with a tethered, unfavorable scar in the right lower portion of her abdomen. She wanted to improve the shape of her abdomen and remove the skin and fatty tissue that was hanging over the front of her waist.

During our cosmetic surgery Boston consultations we discussed combining an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the lateral abdominal area in order to best improve her shape. She stayed one night in the hospital after her plastic surgery and returned home to Maine the following day. At the time of surgery I placed thin drains beneath the skin to collect fluid after her operation. She easily managed the drains herself at home until they were ready to be removed in the office.

Her pre-operative and post-operative photographs demonstrate the dramatic improvement that is possible with a tummy tuck Boston. These photographs also show an example of how an unfavorable scar in the lower abdomen is effectively treated by removing the scar during an abdominoplasty. Her tummy tuck incisions will continue to fade for several months after her surgery.

If you are interested in learning more about tummy tuck Boston, or any other plastic surgery body contouring, please contact my office in Brookline, MA to schedule an appointment.
