Details for Case #3

This is a 33 year old office manager from Boston’s South Shore who came in to the office to discuss breast augmentation in Boston. She had nursed her child several years in the past and desired more full and youthful looking breasts.

During our consultation at my Boston cosmetic surgery practice, we discussed the size and style implant that would achieve her goals. This patient wanted to achieve a more youthful looking breast; however, she did not want a dramatic change in cup size. She felt that a B cup would be appropriate for her petite body build. She used implant sizers to mimic her poet operative appearance; she also examined hundreds of pre operative and post operative photographs of my patients. She decided upon 330cc saline implants placed under the muscle using a periareolar incision.

A 300cc Mentor moderate profile saline implant is the implant that most appropriately accomplished her goals. A larger or more projecting implant would have given this very petite woman dramatic upper pole fullness with “shelf” at the top of the implant. At surgery I used 300cc Mentor moderate profile saline implants filled to 330cc.

She recovered from her surgery quickly and got married shortly after her surgery!! She is very happy with her results and is glad that she decided to have breast augmentation.
