Breast Augmentation Case
Details for Case #7
This is a 51 year old woman who came to my Brookline office to discuss
breast augmentation Boston. She is a very petite woman whose goal from surgery was to wear a B-cup bra.
After discussing Boston cosmetic surgery she decided on a 275cc breast augmentation. After considering the pros and cons of implant fill material she chose saline implants over silicone gel filled implants. She has nipples that are widely spaced apart and there is also a wide space between her breast tissue. She and I discussed the fact that breast augmentation will not move the nipples closer together. We also discussed the tradeoffs of making the implants closed together than her natural breast tissue. If we were to make the implants closer together than her breasts are, the tissue over the middle part of the implants would be thin and the implants would be more easily felt, the risk of wrinkling would increase and the risk of stretching the tissues would increase. If we used implants that were wide enough to come close together in the middle, the implants would also extend out to the side and under her arm. We ultimately decided to use narrow base, high profile implants in order to avoid the problems of too wide implants.
At the time of surgery I used an imframammary incision and placed the Mentor high profile implants underneath the chest wall muscle. The implants are each filled with 275cc of saline. She recovered quickly from her surgery and is please with her breast augmentation Boston.
