Details for Case #9
This petite mother of two children came to my Boston plastic surgery office from Cape Cod to discuss breast augmentation. She was interested in a full and round appearance to her breasts after her surgery.
During our consultation we reviewed her choices of incision location, implant location, implant type and implant size. During our consultation which included a discussion of her soft tissue characteristics, and opportunity for her to use implant sizers, and a discussion of results following surgery that included reviewing photographs of other patients of mine, she decided upon a breast augmentation of 400cc.
Preoperatively her right breast was slightly smaller than her left breast. I corrected this asymmetry by filling the left implant more than I filled the right implant. She chose an incision in the inframammary fold. Because of her narrow breast width and the size of the augmentation she chose, I used a high profile implant.
Her postoperative photographs demonstrate the round, full look that is more readily achieved with high profile implants. The inframammary incision is well concealed on the bottom of the breasts. Finally her size asymmetry is corrected by filling the right implant with 400cc of saline and filling the left implant with 430cc of saline. Three years after surgery she is very happy with her
breast augmentation in Boston.
