This twenty-four year woman from north of Boston came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss aesthetic improvement of her breasts. She was dissatisfied with the shape and size of her breasts. During our consultation we discussed augmentation mastopexy, an operation I am able to offer my patients as a single procedure that combines a Boston breast augmentation with a Boston breast lift to provide dramatic aesthetic improvement to the breasts.This patient chose a three hundred seventy five cc breast augmentation. I placed the implants beneath the muscle. I used a vertical (also called a lollipop) mastopexy technique in order to best create a round, youthful shape to the breasts; lift the nipples to a better location on the breasts and to reduce the size of her excessively large areola.
Combined breast lift and augmentation is an operation able to deliver dramatic aesthetic improvement to patients. The breast shape is more youthful and the breast size is increased for better overall body balance and proportion. Augmentation mastopexy is performed as an outpatient, meaning that patients go home from the hospital approximately two hours after surgery. Patients have resumed their normal activities within a few days of the procedure.
