This patient is in her mid twenties from the South Shore of Massachusetts. She came to my Brookline office to discuss breast augmentation Boston. We discussed her aesthetic goals from the surgery and I recommended combined mastopexy (breast lift) and implant augmentation. She chose 375cc saline implants placed below the muscle; I rarely recommend that saline implants be placed above the muscle. The breast lift is a circumaroelar mastopexy which uses an incision around the areola. The implants are also placed through this incision. Moderate profile smooth wall round implants were used.
Her surgery was performed in my fully accredited operating suite located within the Brookline office. An anesthesiologist from Harvard University provides anesthesia and patients are cared for by registered nurses while in the facility. Patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains or tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
