This patient in her forties from Cape Cod came to my Boston plastic surgery office to discuss aesthetic breast rejuvenation. She is post partum and also has lost seventy five pounds through diet and exercise. We discussed her goals from surgery and her cosmetic surgery Boston options. She wanted her breasts to look full with some roundness in the upper breast. I recommended a Wise pattern (full) mastopexy (breast lift) along with an implant augmentation. She chose silicone gel filled implants and placement of the implants under the muscle. I used moderate profile (Natrelle style 15) implants; 400cc.
Her surgery was performed in my fully accredited operating suite located within the Brookline office. An anesthesiologist from Harvard University provides anesthesia and patients are cared for by registered nurses while in the facility. The surgery takes about two hours and patients are ready to go home shortly after the surgery is finished. I do not use drains or tight wraps and patients often do not require narcotic pain medication. Patients generally resume normal activities within one or two days following surgery.
