This eighteen year old woman came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss breast reduction surgery. She suffered a great deal of back pain and was severely limited in her ability to exercise due to the weight of her breasts. She underwent a Wise pattern reduction mammaplasty. Following her surgery Her back pain resolved, she was pleased with the improved shape of her breasts, she liked the proportion of her breasts to her body frame and she was able to exercise much more comfortably (in fact she ran a marathon the year following her surgery!).
