Details for Case #56

This forty-eight year old woman came to my Brookline, MA office surgery to discuss treatment of the “bags” under her eyes. Her pre-operative photographs demonstrate her excellent skin quality and a vibrant youthful shape of her eyes. However, we readily see the bulges of the lower eyelid which also highlight the junction between her lower eyelid and her cheek. These bulges result from excess fat in the lower eyelids.

During our pre-operative consultations we discussed eyelid surgery Boston. As with all cosmetic surgery, one wants to leave alone what is good and treat only what is not attractive. Therefore I recommended to this patient that we only remove the excess fat from her lower eyelids. Her post-operative photographs demonstrate the improved contour of the lower eyelids and the blending of the lower eyelid with the cheek. She looks much more rested and youthful following her surgery.

Eyelid surgery can be performed alone, as this case demonstrates, or can be combined with other procedures as needed. Eyelid surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure, meaning that patients return home shortly after surgery. Belpharoplasty can be performed either in the hospital or in our office surgical suite. If you are interested in learning more about eyelid surgery, or any other plastic surgical procedure, please call my office at (888) 328-2708 or request a consultation at my Brookline, Massachusetts office.
