This patient is a forty six year old woman from western Massachusetts who came to my office to discuss eyelid surgery Boston, MA. Her concern was the heavy look of her eyes. During our Boston plastic surgery consultation we discussed options for eyelid rejuvenation. Notice in the preoperative photographs that she has good position of her eyebrows. Notice also that her lower eyelid skin quality is excellent, she has minimal fullness in the lower eyelids and that she has very little definition of the border of her lower eyelid and her cheek.
Her blepharoplasty addressed her upper eyelids only by removing the excess skin and fat from the upper eyelids. Notice in the post operative photographs that the outer upper eyelid does not appear so heavy. Notice also that the shape of the eye after surgery is more youthful and attractive.
Eyelid surgery can be performed as a stand alone procedure or the procedure can be combined with other Boston cosmetic surgery procedures. When performed alone, blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure and patients go home shortly after the completion of the procedure.
