This patient is a fifty three year old man from Boston’s South Shore who came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss aesthetic improvement of his eyes. As is common among men and women in their forties and fifties, this patient did not like the heaviness and tired look of his eyes. During our Boston plastic surgery consultation we discussed the various components of eyelid aesthetics and eyelid aging. One of the most important things about any cosmetic surgery procedure including eyelid surgery Boston is to individualize the treatment. This patient’s eyebrows are in good position; eyebrow position in men is often lower than in women. Also seen in the pre operative photographs are the heaviness of the upper eyelids especially laterally, bulging of fat in the lower eyelids but with very good skin tone of the lower eyelids.

 

This patient’s eyelid surgery Boston consisted of removal of the excess fat and skin from the upper eyelids and removal of the excess fat from the lower eyelids. I did not an incision in the skin of the lower eyelids, but removed the fat from an approach inside the lower eyelid. Notice in the post operative photographs the improved shape of his eyes which gives him a brighter and more youthful appearance.
