Details for Case #63

This gentleman in his late fifties came to my Brookline, MA office to discuss aesthetic improvement of his eyes. During our Boston cosmetic surgery consultation we discussed his peri-orbital features and how the aging process is affecting his eyes. Note that his eyebrows are in good position and he certainly would not benefit from a brow lift. However, he has excess skin and fat of both the upper and lower eyelids leading to an aging appearance.

This patient’s eyelid surgery Boston consisted of removing the excess skin and fat from the upper eyelid as well as removing excess skin and fat from the lower eyelid. In his upper eyelids the primary problem was excess skin with only a small amount of excess fat. In the lower lids, however, the situation was reversed. Most of the work in the lower eyelids was to remove excess fat that was bulging from the lower eyelid onto the cheek. Notice the improvement in the shape of his eyelid and the improved transition from his lower eyelid to his cheek.

Eyelid surgery can be performed as a stand alone procedure or the procedure can be combined with other Boston cosmetic surgery procedures. When performed alone, blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure and patients go home shortly after the completion of the procedure. Eyelid surgery can be performed in the hospital or in our office surgical suite. If you are interested in learning more about eyelid surgery or any other Boston plastic surgery procedure, please call my office at (888) 328-2708 or request a consultation at my Brookline, Massachusetts office.
