This 42 year old mother of three children came to my Brookline office from the Worcester, Massachusetts area to discuss breast augmentation and body contouring surgery. Following her pregnancies her breasts lost some volume which she did not like. She also wanted to tighten her abdominal tissues.
During our consultations we her breast asymmetry and particularly that her left nipple was lower than her right nipple. She chose a 400cc breast augmentation. I believed that given her soft tissue characteristics 400 cc implants would raise the nipples to very symmetrical positions and suggested that we not do a left sided breast lift. We also discussed an abdominoplasty and liposuction.
The surgery began with the liposuction and tummy tuck. I used an inframammary incision to develop the subpectoral pocket for the implants. In used Mentor moderate profile implants and filled each implant with 400cc of saline.
The implants alone improved the nipple height asymmetry and she did not require a breast lift. She is very pleased with the youthful appearance of her breasts following her breast augmentation in Boston. Many women choose to have a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck after they have finished having children. Breast augmentation and tummy tuck are procedures that can safely be done at the same time.
